2024 Tour of Taihu Lake Wraps Up in Nanjing
After several days of intense competition, the 2024 12th Tour of Taihu Lake International Road Cycling Race and Yangtze River Delta Cross-Region Race concluded on October 13 in Jiangning, Nanjing. A grand awards ceremony took place at Jiangsu Garden Expo Park.
The Wuxi stage kicked off on October 9.
Competitors raced along the Qidong course on October 10.

In the team classifications, Giant Cycling Team secured the top spot in the Greater China team overall standings, while TotalEnergies led the overall team standings.

Since its inception in 2010, the Tour of Taihu Lake has grown into a prestigious international event, marking its 12th edition in 2024. Over the years, the event has connected more than 20 cities across the Yangtze River Delta, serving as a key platform for promoting the integration of sports, culture, tourism, ecology, and economic development in the region.
The competing teams raced through the iconic Moon Bay in Huzhou on October 12.
The 2024 race covered five key stages, including Wuxi Binhu, Qidong in Nantong, Wujiang in Suzhou, Changxing in Huzhou, and Jiangning in Nanjing. The unique route showcased a blend of local landscapes, cultural heritage, and ecological beauty. A total of 22 teams from around the world participated, with 131 professional cyclists racing across a total distance of 529.5 kilometers.
Athletes braved the rain to conquer the steep slopes of Jiangning on October 13.
The event emphasized four key improvements: competitive level, stage design, promotional efforts, and brand value realization. It also integrated community activities and amateur races, highlighting the harmony between professional and amateur cycling, as well as competitive and mass sports. The event successfully engaged the public, boosted city vibrancy, and strengthened regional cooperation, promoting a multi-sector integration of sports, tourism, culture, ecology, and the economy. As a result, it has become a new engine for consumption and economic growth, supporting the high-quality development of the Yangtze River Delta region.
